At its 90th Meeting on February 16th, 2018, the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) took the decision to change the substrate of the EC banknotes from paper to polymer.
In keeping with this, the ECCB has embarked on the Polymer Migration Project. The transition from paper to polymer is a milestone in the history of the EC currency. To apprise the public of the most recent developments of the project, the local office of the ECCB held an informational session and discussion with a team from its Currency Management Department and Corporate Relations Department on Friday, 11th January, 2019, at the ECCB Agency Office, Frenches, Kingstown.
